National Childrenswear Survey Update June 2010
Preliminary development and validation of BVI for children has been taking place during the 2009/2010 National Childrenswear Survey, ShapeGB.
As the lead collaborator of The Body Benchmark Study, Select Research have been in collaboration with major retailers Monsoon, Next, Shopdirect and George @ Asda to gather data nationwide from children aged 4-17yrs.
The survey has been to 6 locations throughout the last 12 months with the newest location Hull commencing late June, early July 2010. The survey is soon to go nationwide with locations in both Scotland and Wales to commence over the Summer months.
The partners of the Body Benchmark Study have assisted Shape GB in the preliminary 3D validation of the data that has been gathered as far and will continue to do so until completion in Autumn 2010.
